‘The silenced tree’
The silenced tree is Iran and Turkey’s first cinematic collaboration. It has achieved numerous remarkable awards and has left quite a lasting impression on its audience.
Faysal Soysal is the writer and director of this dramatic film. Produced by Iranian producer/director, Ali Noori Oskouei, this Farabi cinematic foundation work is currently airing on TRT, the Turkish national TV network.
In the 2020 monthly Eurasia film festival, Vedat Ozdemir the cinematography manager received the award for the best camera.
Throughout the story, Hayati is a literary teacher who has been left by his dominating spouse. In desperation, he is unwilling to take control of his life again and clings desperately to memories of his father, his old mother, and a decaying walnut tree.
The deeply touching plays of the main stars, Serdar Orcin, Sezin Akbasogullari, and Ali Mert Yavuzcan, well-known actors in turkey, captivated the viewers and made them connect with the characters on such an exceptional level
The brilliant music played throughout the movie is composed by the Iranian composer Payam Azadi. And the editing by Mostafa Kherghehpoosh.
Vedat Ozdemir is the film’s cinematography manager. The visual effects are done by Yasin Allahdadian and Ali Noori Oskouei.

a literary and visual masterpieceUsually, art films are not absorbing. but I have to confess that this film is absorbing with it is art scenes, very successful visual and screenplay, and also dialogues on art, philosophy, and literature.
